Telehealth using PhysiTrack
Can’t get to Warragul for your Physiotherapy appointment? No problem! We can do it virtually using PhysiTrack.
PhysiTrack is an easy-to-use app that lets us talk, share exercises and give advice on pain management from our office to wherever you are. You can use it on your phone, iPad or computer meaning you get to access the same high quality Physio treatment and still see our friendly, smiling faces.
Anyone can use it
The term ‘Telehealth’ means accessing a healthcare service using electronic communication instead of in-person. So if you can’t get to us for any reason this is the perfect way to still get treatment.
At PPG we offer Telehealth physiotherapy appointments using an app called PhysiTrack to contact you. It’s easy to use and has some great features.
Anyone can book a Telehealth session with the team at PPG but it’s especially useful if you work FIFO or can’t get to our Warragul clinic.
Just download PhysiApp to get started
PhysiTrack is like any other app on your phone, iPad or computer. It’s called PhysiTrack on our end, but you’ll be looking for an app called PhysiApp when you download it.
You just download ‘PhysiApp’ to whatever device works best for you and away you go!
If we’ve scheduled a Telehealth appointment we’ll talk you through everything you need to know beforehand, so don’t worry about sorting out the technology on your own.
If you have any questions you can always give us a call or head to our Blog about Telehealth and see if that answers your question.
What to expect and what to wear
The appointment looks and feels like a video call, similar to using FaceTime, Skype or Zoom. During the call you can see us and we can see you. It can feel a bit strange at first but you soon get used to it.
The app we use is specially designed for Physiotherapy appointments so you’ll see some special features on there.
For example, we can:
- Talk about your pain and discomfort on a fully encrypted (private) call
- Share short videos showing the exercises we’d like you to do
- Watch you do the exercises
- Design an exercise program for you
- Save your tailored program on the app so you won’t lose it.
During the call we recommend you wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely.
We’ll probably ask you to carry out a few exercises, assess how you move and make a few adjustments, just as we would in a face-to-face appointment.
It’s a good idea to find a room with a bit of space where you can put your device safely to chat to us.
