Complex, persistent and chronic pain
We help you dial down your pain and get it under control
We don’t like to use the word ‘chronic’ to refer to pain. It gives the impression that the pain is never-ending and we don’t believe that’s ever the case.
In fact, we make it our mission to reduce your pain and make it feel more manageable.
What we treat and how we treat it
When you come to see us the first thing we’ll do is talk. We want to know everything you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting your everyday life.
We’ll work with you to draw up goals, whether that’s reducing your pain or helping you to get a good night’s sleep.
After that we’ll create a personalised rehabilitation plan that will include gentle exercises such as mobilisations, stretches and simple ways to increase your overall fitness.
We treat all chronic or persistent pain, so don’t be afraid to come and talk to us about what you’re experiencing.
Here are some of the conditions that we treat:
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Juvenile arthritis
You might be interested in attending our Pain Education classes, which are designed for people with chronic or persistent pain. You can read more about these on our Classes page.
The classes are ideal to help with your rehabilitation as we can monitor your progress and movement. We can program exercises to work around your pain as we know it can change from day to day.
We see a lot of people cancelling their classes on a ‘flare-up’ day but this is best day to come. It helps us understand what you’re feeling so we can manage the days when your pain is bad.
